White Anchovy and Avocado Toasts

We love our Spanish White Anchovies right out of the can, or on crackers or bread. When we have 10 minutes, we layer ‘em up a little. These anchovies are mild—more like marinated sardines than pungent, dark-gray “pizza” anchovies—so you can happily eat them as a main ingredient.

Put It All Together

Toast some thin whole-wheat bread.

 Layer with:

    • Fork-mashed avocado
    • Thinly sliced Persian or English cucumber
    • Roasted Garlic Spanish White Anchovies
    • Chopped green onions

    •  Bright, juicy sliced oranges taste great after a couple of these toasts.
