 
  Spicy Mussels "Rockefeller"
This is spicy twist on the Oysters Rockefeller using our canned Spicy Mussels: it takes 15 minutes to make and is the perfect fall or winter appetizer to pair with our Sourdough Crackers. It's warming, savory and rich and is perfect as a snack for one or to serve at a party. We recommend baking it or serving it right out of a small oven-safe bowl or dish, or if you wanted to make multiple servings, you could use a muffin tin.
Serves 1-2
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- Black pepper
- 1 tin Patagonia Provisions Spicy Mussels
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp parmesan cheese, grated
- Patagonia Provisions Organic Sourdough Sea Salt Crackers
Instructions:
- Preheat an oven or toaster oven to 400° F.
- In a small bowl, combine the butter, grated garlic, parsley and black pepper.
- Open the tin of mussels, and add about 1 tsp of the liquid from the mussels into the butter mixture. Mix well till the ingredients are roughly combined.
- In an oven-safe small dish or bowl (such as a cocotte you might use for creme brûlée), spread about a teaspoon of the butter mixture.
 
- Add the mussels to the bowl. Top them with the rest of the butter mixture.
- Add the breadcrumbs and grated parmesan on top of the mussels and butter mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
